Heart Surgery

Well at 8.30 this morning 12 months ago they came to take me to theatre, i had woken about 5 and funnily enough couldnt go back to sleep.... I had had a shower at 6 with some disgusting antiseptic stuff and had been given a pre med at 7 i wasnt allowed out of bed after that, but it must work pretty well because i dont remember being that worried or anything. Anyway down to theatre i went and i waited for the anaesthetist to tell me to count backwards..... hmmmmm it didnt happen the next thing i knew was waking up with something stuck in my throat and having a major panic about it, i must of fallen asleep again and the next time it was gone and i was sooooooooo thirsty............ typical of me i then decided to drink a cup full of water despite knowing that i would be sick if i did (have seen little man do this a few times) I really dont remember much about the rest of that day or night, and im glad that i had told my hubby not to travel to Stoke as he would of been talking to himself........... The next day i was moved from ITU to the ward and i was determined to get home regardless of what i had to do........... Im happy to say i was home in 4 days and then spent the last 12 months getting my strength back....

I am a very lucky person as i have had the support of my friends and family who have nagged and moaned but overall cared.......... I want to take the chance to thank each and every one of them for being there for me for loving me and for putting up with me.....

Especially Kelly who came to visit me and organised my brilliant pressie, thanks Kel you are the best..........

And Karen who has been there everystep of the way keeping me sane, making me laugh and generally insulting me thanks hun i love ya xxxxx
